The Holy Family Academy School Advisory Council is sponsoring Parent Enrichment Forums on various Sunday afternoons throughout the school year. Our first Parent Enrichment Forum speaker was HFA Latin & History teacher Michael Panka, presenting on the purpose of classical education. HFA teachers John Hartnett and Kathy Kruse recently presented on study skills and the purpose of homework. The presentation was loosely based on our adopted book for the year, The Learning Habit. There was a full room of parents for both presentations. The presentations are designed to be simple and convenient: pizza lunch after the 11:00 Mass followed by the 30-45 minute presentations. Child care is provided.
The next Parent Enrichment Forum will be held on Sunday, November 12.
