Holy Family Church Children's Choir
Singing is an expression of joy, and perhaps no other medium better exemplifies this than a children’s choir. At Holy Family, the Youth Choir supports the Liturgy at weekend Masses and Solemnities through the singing of Gregorian Chant, hymnody, Mass settings, and sacred anthems. Students learn the essential elements of proper vocal technique and projection, as well as the fundamentals of sight singing and music theory. They expand their own voices while learning the importance of blend and cohesiveness within a choir. With your child’s involvement, we will enhance the knowledge and skills of our young musicians, while building a youth choir program to continue enriching the Holy Family parish at large.
Grades: 2 – 8
Rehearsals days:
Tuesdays and Thursdays at Holy Family Church
Additionally, the Choristers will sing for weekend Mass approximately 1-2 times per month, as well as for major solemnities and Parish choral concerts.

"Theater is a microcosm of the Christian life, and the lessons learned on stage and backstage are very similar to those we should learn as believers. In essence, they must "die" to themselves and be born again into the characters that the author has written for them." Laura Ahlquist
